Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date financial information.
- Support budgeting activities by preparing reports and analyzing variances.
- Prepare financial reports for management review and assist with audit preparations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform account analysis and assist with budgeting processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of payroll processing is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in accounting or finance are a plus but not mandatory.
