General Farm LabourerJob Summary
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking General Farm Labourer to assist with daily farm and orchard operations in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The position is approximately 4–5 days per week and involves outdoor physical work, crop care, harvesting, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance.
Previous farming or agricultural experience is required. Tractor experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, harvesting, and general crop care
- Operate tractors, farm machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely
- Load, unload, and move farm supplies and harvested crops
- Assist with soil preparation, weed control, and orchard maintenance
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and minor troubleshooting
- Keep work areas, machinery, and farm facilities clean and organized
- Complete other general farm duties as required
Requirements
- Previous farming or agricultural experience required
- Tractor and farm equipment experience is a strong asset
- Willing and able to learn equipment operation
- Physically able to lift and perform outdoor labour
- Comfortable working in different weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Available approximately 4–5 days per week
