We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to assume the role of Service Technician. With a "Customer First" mindset, the Service Technician is responsible for providing onsite diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of commercial janitorial equipment while representing the Armorex brand with professionalism.
As a Service Technician for Armorex, you will travel throughout the GTA performing minor onsite repairs, diagnosing larger equipment issues, communicating repair recommendations to our Service Team, and ensuring our customers receive prompt, reliable service. You will work independently while maintaining close communication with the Armorex team to coordinate repairs, parts, and customer follow-up.

Performance Objectives
- Perform onsite diagnostics and repairs on commercial cleaning equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on floor scrubbers, vacuums, carpet extractors, burnishers, sweepers, and related equipment.
- Complete minor repairs onsite while determining when equipment requires shop service.
- Accurately diagnose equipment failures and communicate repair recommendations to the Armorex Service Team.
- Complete detailed service reports, including parts required and labour performed.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, repair options, and timelines.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and repair equipment.
- Follow manufacturer service procedures and safety standards.
- Represent Armorex professionally at all customer locations.
- Work independently while managing service calls efficiently.
- Maintain regular communication with Dispatch and Service Management throughout the day.
- Assist with equipment pick-up and delivery as required.
- Comply with all Armorex policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Armorex Management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Previous field service technician experience preferred.
- Experience repairing commercial janitorial equipment is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of equipment brands including Tennant, Karcher, IPC, Sanitaire, ProTeam, and similar commercial equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and parts breakdowns.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift and move commercial cleaning equipment when required.
- Flexibility to work part-time and on an on-call basis.
- Successful candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
