Associate Lawyer – Boutique Solicitor Practice
Location: Yaletown, Vancouver, BC Practice Areas: Corporate/Commercial, Real Estate, & Wills and Estates Experience Level: 3–5 Years PQE
The Opportunity
Located in the heart of Yaletown, our boutique firm is looking for an entrepreneurial and detail-oriented Associate Lawyer to join our growing team. We pride ourselves on offering "Big Law" expertise with the agility and personalized touch of a small firm to high-net-worth individual and international clients and corporations.
This role is ideal for a solicitor who enjoys a diverse file load and wants to transition from being a "cog in a machine" to a key player with direct client contact and a clear path to leadership.
The Associate Lawyer Role
You will manage a sophisticated solicitor practice, supporting clients through the entire business and personal life cycle.
Real Estate & Estates:
- Managing residential and commercial real estate conveyancing and financing.
- Drafting comprehensive estate plans, including complex wills, trusts, Powers of Attorny and representation agreements.
- Probtate and Estate Adminstration.
- Advising on succession planning for small-to-medium business owners.
Corporate & Commercial:
- Overseeing the end-to-end incorportation process, organizations, partnerships, joint ventures and annual corporate maintenance.
- Corporate restructuring, tax-driven reorganization, and asset/share purchase agreements.
- Assisting in and leading mid-market mergers and acquisitions.
Who You Are
- Experience: 5–7 years of call in British Columbia (specifically in solicitor-side work).
- Technical Skill: Strong drafting skills and the ability to navigate complex corporate structures.
- Personality: You thrive in a collaborative Yaletown environment, professional yet approachable. You are comfortable managing your own files and communicating directly with business owners and clients.
- Credentials: Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
