Requirements:
- Must register with the Health Practice Commission of the Cayman Islands
- Registered SLP with your state, province or country
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech-Language Therapy
- Minimum 3 years experience in paediatric clinical setting
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the program including heavy lifting and bending
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Criminal records check
- Applicants must be registered or eligible for full registration in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, or the United States of America
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients and their families to set SLP goals that have measurable outcomes
- Provide direct service, consultation, mediation and education to client, family and community providers
- Utilize research to establish and support evidence-based practice
- Provision of in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as and when needed
- Ability to facilitate group sessions
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25 direct therapy sessions (60 minute sessions) per week
- Provide a minimum of 2 presentations to the community per calendar year.
