Job Summary
NuQuest is seeking an Experienced 5 ton 26ft Straight Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with a focus on delivering freight safely and efficiently. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of trucks, including straight trucks, and proper use in delivery equipment. The driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 5 Ton Straight truck, (Automatic Transmission)
- Follow assigned itineraries and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup of freight
- White Glove deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to maintain a safe driving record.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, and maintain accurate logs for MTO compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or damages.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries.
- Proficient with most basic hand tools and some power tools (Cordless Drill / Screwdriver / Hammer / Etc)
Skills:
- Proficient in driving large trucks, ie 5 ton Straight truck (or larger)
- Knowledge of route driving to efficiently navigate through designated areas.
- Ability to load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Ability to consistently lift weights of 50lbs or more
- Knowledge of freight transportation procedures and regulations.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Attention to details and ability to follow complex instructions

Expected hours: 32 – 44+ per week
