Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess Server to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will;
- excel in guest services,
- possess excellent communication skills,
- and have a passion for hospitality.
This role is essential in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy their dining or hotel experience. Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Host/Host will be the first point of contact, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Handle reservations via phone or online platforms with proper phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and seating arrangements
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for reservations and billing inquiries
- Assist with guest inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or hotel services
- Ensure smooth flow of seating during busy hours to optimize guest experience
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing attentive and courteous service at all times
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette for reservation handling and guest inquiries
- Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
