Research Analyst, Agronomy – 18 Month Term

Under the direction of the Product Development Manager, the Research Analyst - Agronomy utilizes their industry knowledge and mathematical, communication and critical-thinking skills towards maintenance and review of MASC programs, policies, and requirements. The Research Analyst - Agronomy primarily focuses on collection, documentation, maintenance and analysis of agronomic information, evaluation of programs, and undertakes assigned research projects.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Science, Business or Economics; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered;
- Experience in collecting, organizing and analyzing research data, both qualitative and quantitative;
- Experience in preparing and presenting reports;
- Experience within the agricultural industry in Manitoba;
- Knowledge of agricultural economics and agronomy in Manitoba and related data sources;
- Ability to interpret and apply acts, policies or procedures;
- Ability to accurately maintain databases, records and data files;
- Ability to process and handle sensitive information in a secure manner with discretion;
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, Outlook) in a cloud-based environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registration with or eligibility for registration with the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists;
- Ability to communicate verbally in both official languages (French and English).
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.
SALARY: $79,889 to $102,301 per annum
