Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing and woodworking team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and custom cabinetry, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves constructing, assembling, and installing high-quality cabinets and related wood products, contributing to both residential and commercial projects. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team on diverse projects that require precision craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinetry and woodwork components.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Install cabinets and related fixtures on-site with precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and project deadlines.
- Assist in restoration projects involving woodwork or cabinetry repairs.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials or assembled units.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry making, woodworking, or carpentry; experience with blueprint reading is essential.
- Knowledge of construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, caulking, plumbing, electrical work, or handyman experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and construction estimating is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings for precise fabrication.
- Excellent craftsmanship skills with attention to detail in finishing work.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during assembly or installation tasks.
- Reliable work ethic with good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or custom woodwork projects is preferred but not mandatory.
