Glasshouse is a new Kitsilano community-driven restaurant rooted in sustainability, seasonality, and thoughtful cooking. We focus on locally sourced ingredients, low-waste practices, and food that feels elevated but approachable.
We are looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen. Someone who cares deeply about ingredients, team culture, and building something meaningful.
What you’ll do
Lead all kitchen operations from prep to service while maintaining consistency and quality across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Build and mentor a strong, positive team culture. Develop seasonal menus using local and sustainable ingredients. Manage food costs, ordering, and inventory with a focus on low waste. Oversee prep systems, fermentation, and preservation programs. Work closely with ownership to evolve the Glasshouse identity and guest experience.
What we’re looking for
Strong leadership experience in a high-volume, quality-focused kitchen. A calm, solutions-driven presence during service. A passion for seasonal, local, and sustainable cooking. Experience with menu development and cost control. Someone who leads by example and takes pride in developing their team. Creativity balanced with consistency.
