Hospitality Manager (Food & Beverage)
Location: Welling's of Calgary
Reports To: General Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Hospitality Manager to lead our Food & Beverage operations and bring the Wellings Concept to life every day.
Position Summary
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage services, ensuring excellence in resident satisfaction, staff engagement, and operational performance. This role combines leadership, creativity, and business acumen to deliver a hospitality experience that exceeds expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Lead, train, and inspire front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Recruit and develop staff in partnership with the General Manager and Chef.
- Implement performance management practices, including scheduling, coaching, and recognition.
Food & Beverage Operations
- Collaborate with the Chef to design menus that meet dietary requirements and resident preferences.
- Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with Public Health and regulatory standards.
- Create engaging programming and events to support occupancy and resident satisfaction.
Resident Experience
- Monitor resident satisfaction through personal interactions, surveys, and Town Hall meetings.
- Respond to resident concerns within 24 hours, ensuring service excellence.
- Develop action plans to continuously improve resident wellbeing.
Financial & Supplier Management
- Manage budgets to achieve targeted NOI.
- Ensure pricing aligns with established standards.
- Build strong supplier partnerships to enhance quality and efficiency.
General Duties
- Oversee maintenance of dining areas, bars, patios, and kitchens.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Attend training, conferences, and community events as required.
- Uphold the Wellings Concept and demonstrate high ethical standards.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
- Coursework in customer service, food & beverage management, or hotel operations considered an asset.
- Certifications
- Food Safety Handling certification
- Responsible Alcohol Service certification (e.g., Smart Serve, ProServe)

- Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience in hospitality, food & beverage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, manage schedules, and oversee daily operations.
- Proven track record of maintaining service excellence, resolving guest concerns, and driving operational improvements.
