OVERVIEW:
As an Event Decorator at Innovative Events, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to bringing event designs to life. You will be responsible for setting up and taking down decor for weddings and special events, ensuring everything is executed to the highest standard. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will follow design plans and contribute to creating unforgettable event experiences.
Please note: Shifts will vary depending on event requirements, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and night shifts. Must have a G Driver's license and minimum 1 year truck driving experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and take down all decor elements at events, including tablescapes, floral arrangements, lighting, backdrops, structures, and other decorations.
- Ensure all items are properly packed for transport and safely returned to the warehouse after the event.
- Load and unload event décor inventory, props, and equipment from company trucks safely and efficiently before and after each event setup.
- Maintain organization of decor and equipment both on-site and in the warehouse.
- Work alongside team members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality setups.
- Play a key role in takedown during night shifts, ensuring decor and structures are carefully packed and returned to the warehouse.
- Assist the design team in preparing event decor, including organizing inventory and reviewing design plans.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team and ensure seamless event execution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute designs with precision.
- Ability to work in various environments, from venues to the warehouse.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (50 pounds or more).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A proactive and organized approach to managing tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changes and work efficiently under time pressure.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have a G driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and late nights as needed.
- Previous experience in event or wedding decor is a plus.
