As the Safety Professional, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and promoting health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs throughout the organization.
Responsibilities include:

Maintain HSE documentation including accident reports, inspection reports, training records, near misses, observations, and JSA/FLRA documentation.
- Develop and maintain local HSE processes, procedures, and forms.
- Track employee certifications, safety meetings, and training records.
- Coordinate required inspections for cranes, forklifts, fall protection equipment, fire extinguishers, and other safety systems.
- Manage inventory and ordering of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain contractor compliance platforms, including ISNetworld and PEC Premier.
- Conduct workplace inspections and identify hazards while recommending corrective and preventative actions.
- Investigate workplace incidents and assist in implementing corrective measures.
- Maintain electronic and paper safety records.
- Assist in developing and updating written safety programs.
- Support annual safety goals and organizational safety initiatives.
- Promote a positive safety culture through training, safety communications, newsletters, and awareness programs.
- Oversee behaviour-based safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
- Prepare monthly health and safety performance reports.
- 1-2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems is an asset.
