We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager – East (Atlantic Canada region) to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday. This position reports to the Regional Manager and is fully accountable for regional sales performance.
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing Outside Sales Representatives across the region. They balance direct customer engagement with sales management, performance accountability, and team development.
Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop Outside Sales Representatives to achieve consistent, profitable sales growth.
- Conduct regular account reviews, performance check-ins, and in-person ride alongs with Outside Sales Representatives, to keep the region’s sales team executing at a high level.
- Act as an escalation point for customer concerns, working collaboratively with branches to resolve issues quickly.
- Work closely with Branch Managers to align sales activity with branch operations and service levels.
- Support the management of core banks and customer consignment inventories.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Pricing, and Category teams on behalf of customers and branches.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new Outside Sales Representatives.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in administration, business management, or an acceptable related field.
- Five or more years of experience in a sales manager role, preferably within the industrial retail/wholesale industry (automotive or truck parts, industrial products, etc.).
- Proven track record in successfully managing and coaching staff in sales positions.
- Experienced in analyzing financial reporting and other data to identify trends and support strategic business decisions.
- Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and various software programs.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills when interacting with staff, leadership and customers.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through educational workshops, involvement in industry associations, networking, and staying up to date on industry knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to frequently travel to off-site and branch locations within the region.
