Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to grow within the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food handling and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with food plating, garnishing, and portioning for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by providing timely assistance with food prep and cooking tasks
- Adhere to all health regulations and restaurant policies related to food safety and sanitation
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
- Passion for delivering excellent food service and creating a welcoming dining experience
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
