We are looking for Light Vehicle Mechanics to join out GridLink team and we are offering a $5000 milestone signing bonus!
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on light vehicles, including engines, brakes, transmissions, steering, and electrical systems.
Fault Diagnosis: Identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Component Replacement: Remove and replace worn or damaged parts, including engines, brakes, and transmissions.
Workshop Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment, including proper use of tools and equipment.
Record Keeping: Accurately document repairs, maintenance, and inspections for fleet or customer records.
Team Collaboration: Work independently or as part of a team, assisting other mechanics and mentoring apprentices when required.
Safety Compliance: Follow workplace health and safety procedures, use protective equipment, and report incidents promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
Completion of a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent apprenticeship.
Trade qualification in light vehicle mechanics with practical experience in servicing modern vehicles.
Knowledge of modern automotive technology, including electronic systems and diagnostics.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, lifting, and working in various positions.
Forklift license and up-to-date immunizations may be required in some workplaces.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
Typically employed in workshops, garages, dealerships, or fleet service operations.
May involve working outside standard hours or in physically demanding conditions ().
Pay: Up to $46.00 per hour
