Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk in
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software Cleardent
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and efficiently, directing calls to appropriate staff members
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail
- Verify insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and professionalism
- Maintain accurate electronic dental records and ensure all patient documentation is up-to-date
- Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations and patient flow
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental office procedures, including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
- Previous Cleardent software experience is an asset, though we will train the right candidate. New graduates are welcome.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Proven office experience with proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and multi-line phone systems
