Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to join our team. This role is essential in supporting various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progress of work sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining safety standards on site. Duties
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment at construction sites
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Carry out manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects safely
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure project timelines are met
- Operate basic tools and equipment as trained and authorized
- Assist with site cleanup and disposal of waste materials at the end of each workday
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow directions carefully and work efficiently under supervision
- Physical fitness to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform strenuous activities throughout the day
