Job Description:
BMI Building & Maintenance Industries Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced part-time cleaner with a valid PWGSC (Public Works and Government Services Canada) security clearance to provide coverage for vacation leave, sick days, and staffing gaps across our contracted sites.
This role is critical to maintaining service continuity in secure and high-standard environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine janitorial cleaning (floors, washrooms, garbage removal, dusting, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness in accordance with client and contract standards
- Follow all site-specific security protocols and procedures
- Respond to short-notice scheduling for coverage shifts
- Report any deficiencies or issues to supervision
Requirements:
- Valid PWGSC security clearance (mandatory)
- Previous commercial or institutional cleaning experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability (days, evenings, and/or weekends as required)
- Reliable transportation is an asset
