Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines such as CNC lathes, milling machines, and press brake machines. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and quality control to ensure precision and efficiency in production processes. The CNC Machine Operator will play a vital role in producing high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and manufacturing specifications.
Duties
- Set up and operate various CNC equipment including CNC lathes, milling machines, and press brake machines using Fanuc controls.
- Program CNC machines utilizing CAD drawings and CNC programming skills to produce precise parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate machining.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and assurance.
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as required to complete finished products.
- Operate forklifts for material handling within the warehouse or manufacturing floor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following safety protocols.
- Assist in packaging finished products for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members in a manufacturing setting to meet production deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines, lathes, and press brake equipment.
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SolidWorks, and CAD software.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, blueprint reading, welding, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, forklift trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of machining operations including CNC programming, machining techniques, and use of measuring tools like calipers.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
