Job Summary
Sooraj Builders is looking for a motivated and reliable Site Supervisor Trainee to join our growing team. In this role, you will work hands-on across multiple construction sites, learning to coordinate trades, manage materials, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to our quality standards. Responsibilities
- Plan and assess site readiness the day prior to each workday to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare sites each morning for incoming trades, including ensuring materials are delivered and in place early
- Supervise trades on-site, monitoring for safety compliance, quality of work, and adherence to timelines
- Coordinate and receive material and supply deliveries as required
- Manage activities across multiple job sites, adapting to shifting priorities and extended hours when needed
- Maintain daily site cleanliness and enforce health and safety standards at all times
- Track project deadlines and deliverables, flagging any delays or concerns proactively
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, vendors, and trades, maintaining professional and clear communication
- Perform minor on-site corrections and small fixes using personal tools and equipment
- Report site progress, issues, and updates to management regularly
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle (fuel reimbursed)
- Basic hand tools and equipment required
- Previous experience in construction, skilled trades, or a site-related role is an asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively with trades, clients, and vendors
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on multiple active job sites
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts and extended days as needed
- A strong sense of accountability, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
