Executive Leadership Opportunity: Glazier Manager / Estimator
Are you tired of just solving someone else’s problems? It’s time to be a part of the solution!
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Glazier Manager / Estimator to become the newest member of our growing executive leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will learn our estimating and job management systems, taking complete ownership of your workflow with unlimited career growth potential. While training on our specific systems is provided, we are looking for a self motivated professional who is ready to take the reins and work independently.
If you are looking for a high-impact leadership role where you control your own schedule and drive project success from conception to completion, we want to hear from you.
The Role & Responsibilities
This role is designed for someone who has mastered the craft and is now looking for unlimited career potential. In this dual role, you will be in complete control of your own schedule—managing your site meetings, tracking question deadlines, and hitting project closing dates. You will own your projects from conception to completion by:
- Estimating & Project Management: Overseeing diverse projects including CRU aluminum storefronts, vestibule glazing entrances, custom all-glass entrances in office and mall front applications, custom shower enclosures, vanity / gym mirror walls, and glass replacements.
- Precision Execution: Taking accurate site measurements, processing material orders via online supplier accounts, and creating clear shop drawings.
- Team Leadership: Relaying critical information seamlessly to the shop fabrication and installation crews, providing guidance and problem solving throughout the project life cycle for a smooth, successful completion.
- Financial Accountability: Reviewing completed projects to ensure they consistently land under budget on both materials and labor.
- Professional Advancement: This is a career-defining role, not just another job.
What You Bring to the Table
Previous glazing experience is required for this role. We are looking for a leader who balances technical expertise with elite organizational skills. We appreciate individuals who catch the details others miss. Because in glazing every millimeter counts!
Valuable Assets & Qualifications:
- Credentials: A Red Seal Journeyman Glazier Certificate is highly valued.
- Glass Expertise: Deep knowledge of glass types: monolithic, double pane, and triple pane glass units, low-E coatings, identifying glass / spacer thicknesses, and a strong understanding of glass colors, shades and patterns.
- Knowledge in Aluminum Framing and Commercial Door Hardware: Experience and expertise in a variety of aluminum framing types including curtainwall, aluminum storefront, and vestibule framing. Hardware knowledge must include all glass entrance hardware, shower door hardware, MS locks, latch locks, panic hardware and low energy automatic door operators
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency with Gmail, viewing / marking up PDF drawings, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and ordering materials via online supplier accounts.
- Leadership & Execution: Exceptional group leadership skills, a proven track record in planning/organization, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Core Soft Skills: Problem analysis and critical problem-solving skills. This role requires a high frustration tolerance, precision, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
What We Offer
We believe in rewarding our leadership team with comprehensive support and excellent perks:
- Unlimited Career Growth: A clear path forward with unrestricted potential as you integrate into our executive leadership.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Full Canada Life Health Care Plan, including Vision, Dental, prescriptions, and access to healthcare professionals.
