Licensed Hairstylist Requirements
Valid Alberta Hairstylist License or Red Seal Certification
Minimum 3 years of salon experience
Skilled in hair cutting, coloring, styling, and client consultations
Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
Apprentice Hairstylist Requirements
Must be registered in an Alberta Hairstylist Apprenticeship Program
Minimum 2 years of salon experience (required)
Basic skills in hair cutting, coloring, styling, and client consultations
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced salon environment
Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
Responsibilities
Provide professional hair services (cutting, coloring, styling, perms, treatments, etc.)
Recommend suitable hairstyles based on client preferences and face shape/features
Assist with client inquiries, bookings, and general salon support
Mentor junior staff or support daily salon operations when required
Preferred Skills
Experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (Square preferred)
Social media awareness / client engagement skills
Strong time management and customer service abilities
