Our client is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join its team supporting construction and earthworks projects in the Fort McMurray area. What You'll Do
- Safely operate excavators for trenching, ditching, sloping, loading trucks, and general earthworks.
- Complete pre-operational inspections and maintain equipment in safe working condition.
- Follow daily work plans and communicate effectively with supervisors, spotters, and crew members.
- Adhere to ground disturbance requirements and all site safety procedures.
- Report hazards, equipment concerns, incidents, and near misses.
- Assist with general site duties as required.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years of excavator operating experience in heavy civil construction, earthworks, or mining.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- CSO certification (required).
- Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, and First Aid certifications are considered assets.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
- Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
- Willingness to work a rotational schedule and live in camp in the Fort McMurray area.
