GFL Environmental is looking for a hardworking, motivated General Labourer to join our team in Lloydminster, AB. If you’re someone who likes to keep things moving, enjoys working with your hands, and doesn’t mind getting a little dirty to get the job done, we want to hear from you.
At GFL, "Green For Life" isn't just a slogan—it’s a commitment to our communities and our employees.
As a General Labourer, you are the engine that keeps our yard and maintenance department running smoothly. Your day will be fast-paced, varied, and largely outdoors or in the shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Bin Repairs & Maintenance: Patching, painting, and fixing lids or wheels to ensure our inventory is always client-ready.
Shop Cleaning: Keeping the workspace safe and organized by managing spills, clearing debris, and maintaining shop tools.
Yard Organization (Skid Steer Operation): Using a skid steer to move, stack, and organize bins across the yard for maximum efficiency.
Snow Removal: Keeping the yard and walkways clear and safe during the winter months using shovels, blowers, or heavy equipment.
Bin Inventory: Tracking and counting yard stock to ensure the dispatch team knows exactly what we have on hand.
Mechanical Aptitude: You’re comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
Equipment Experience: Previous experience operating a Skid Steer is a major asset. Valid Driver's license is required.
Physical Stamina: You are capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet in various weather conditions (it’s Grande Prairie, after all!).
Reliability: You show up on time, every time, ready to support the team.
Safety-First Mindset: You look out for yourself and your coworkers by following all PPE and safety protocols.
Valid Class 5 License with a clean Driver's Abstract.
Valid safety tickets an asset.
Competitive Wages
Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
Career Growth: We love to promote from within. Today’s Shop Hand could be tomorrow’s Lead Hand or Mechanic.
A Solid Team: Work with a group of people who have your back.
