Job Summary Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North and Homewood Suites by Hilton Calgary Airport are seeking an experienced and passionate Interim Director of Operations to provide maternity leave coverage for approximately 12 months. Reporting directly to the Complex General Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of both hotels while providing leadership to department heads and ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and Hilton brand standards. This role is ideal for an experienced hotel leader looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dual-brand Hilton property. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders and team members. Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service recovery. Monitor departmental productivity, labour costs, and operational expenses. Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, quality assurance requirements, health and safety legislation, and company policies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and achieving financial objectives. Conduct regular operational meetings and maintain effective communication between departments. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture. Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of progressive hotel leadership experience. Previous experience as a Director of Operations, Hotel Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager. Previous Hilton experience is considered a strong asset. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple departments in a fast-paced hotel environment. Solid understanding of hotel financials, labour management, guest satisfaction, and operational metrics. Experience with Hilton systems (OnQ) is an asset.
