The PRM Wheelchair Services Lead is an accountable ATW position that will work under the direction of the FAS Management to ensure all aspects of the daily wheelchair operations are completed according to specific company policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to; all client carriers as well as ad-hock charter customers. Safety, attention to detail, following company procedures, and teamwork are key components of the PRM Wheelchair Services Lea. They must possess verbal and written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change. They must also be flexible and able to deal with the adapting nature of aviation.
Responsibilities:
- Delegate teams and assignments per flight.
- Assist passengers requiring wheelchair services in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Operate and understand wheelchair equipment, including the Eagle Lift.
- Follow all safe work procedures and safe lifting practices.
- Support daily operations in physically demanding environments.
- Work safely in confined spaces when required.
- Maintain professionalism and sensitivity when assisting passengers with disabilities.
- Ensure operational tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous aviation experience considered an asset.
- Leadership or supervisory experience considered an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and assisting passengers safely.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and workplace safety standards.
