Staff Plus is hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our client in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe forklift operation, accurate material handling, and ensuring operations run smoothly. Candidates should have experience in shipping, receiving, production, or inventory management.
Location: Hamilton, ON
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
What You'll Do:
- Loading, unloading and weighing material
- Putting away in storage areas
- Stacking, sorting and grading of various materials
- Running and loading materials into machines
- Sweeping in the warehouse to keep work areas clean and clear of debris
- Individual quality control
- Preparing and packaging materials
- Basic equipment inspection and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have a valid forklift license
- Minimum of 1 year of counter balance forklift experience in warehouse environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving
- Ability to use various hand tools
- Experience doing inventory counts and checks preferred
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55lbs independently
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
