Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano/voice Teacher to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music and RCM pedagogy certificate, particularly in piano instruction, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages. This role involves educating children in piano techniques, music theory, and fostering a love for music through engaging lessons. The Piano Teacher will work closely with students to develop their skills and confidence while creating a positive learning environment.
Duties
- Provide individualized piano instruction to students of various skill levels, focusing on technique, theory, and performance.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each student.
- Create a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Organize recitals or performance opportunities to showcase student achievements.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest teaching methods and music education trends to enhance instructional practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational or tutoring capacity is preferred.
- A background in Early Childhood Education is a plus, as it enhances the ability to connect with younger students.
- Strong piano skills with proficiency in various musical styles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey concepts to students and parents.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music are essential qualities for this role.
- Previous experience in a classroom setting or as a tutor is advantageous but not mandatory.
