We are seeking an Accounting & Legal Administrative Assistant to join our firm on a full-time, permanent basis (part-time option available). This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across legal administration combined with essential accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with legal document preparation, filing, and case management to support Lawyers and Law Clerks.
- Key contact for potential client telephone inquiries; completes intake call and documentation and provides intake summary for lawyers to review.
- Draft correspondence related to intakes; including but not limited to, No Action Letters (NAL), Notice Letters, and any other related correspondence.
- Provide reception coverage as required; (shared back-up coverage)
- Perform data entry for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Leap Legal Software to maintain balanced books.
- Maintain meticulous records of legal documents, invoices, receipts, and financial transactions for audit readiness. Filing.
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing.
Requirements
- Relevant knowledge and experience in office administration; Bookkeeping; Strong knowledge of general office procedures; Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills; Strong customer service orientation; Strong written and oral communication; Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.; Able to understand and carry out written and/or verbal instructions; Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel and Outlook; Able to multitask; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Meticulous records maintenance skills.

Pay: $42,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
