Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Accounting & Executive Assistant to work closely with the business owner, supporting finance, human resources, and daily operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional accounting role—you will gain exposure to business operations, financial strategy, HR processes, and leadership support, with clear potential for career growth into senior administrative or financial management roles.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Perform daily invoicing and client billing
- Process payroll (Canada) and employee expense reports
- Work extensively in QuickBooks Online (must be experienced)
- Maintain financial records and product/service databases
- Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare and file HST returns with CRA
- Perform collections and follow up on outstanding accounts
Executive & Operations Support
- Provide direct administrative support to the business owner
- Assist with business operations and process improvements
- Coordinate schedules, priorities, and internal workflows
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects
Human Resources Support
- Assist with employee onboarding and documentation
- Support timesheet review and tracking
- Help administer payroll-related HR processes
- Contribute to maintaining a positive team culture
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2–3+ years experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
- Experience with Canadian payroll processing (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and with a team
- Customer-focused mindset and professional attitude
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
