Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to transportation regulations. Duties
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
- Load and unload materials at designated locations, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on trucks as needed, including troubleshooting automotive issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation of goods.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate deliveries and optimize routes for efficiency.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with class 3 for dump truck operation.
- Prior experience operating dump truck and manual transmission.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Skills in forklift operation and basic automotive repair are considered advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy equipment operation safely and effectively under various conditions.
