Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our crew as Special events customer service & labourer.
From the moment a bride, widow, party planner or anyone at all enters the showroom to inquire or book an event to the return of all items used, you will be apart of the process.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our Party Rentals including but not limited to: greeting and booking customers in a friendly & professionally manner, working inside & out(all seasons), ability to lift carry or move 50+lbs, packaging orders, washing dishes & chairs, aiding in the cleanliness of the showroom & storage, emails & phone orders.
You Must be a self starter with the ability to shift focus as this can be a very fast & demanding position while paying attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Learning the showroom, setting up seasonal decor, event presentation & product availability
- Book Weddings & Event party rentals, accounting for availability of the product
- Greet customers in professional manner, double checking to ensure correct count & items are booked
- Prepping upcoming event orders to ensure all is correct
- Loading & Unloading customers orders
- Cleaning returned items such as chairs, tents, bouncy castles, dishes
- Keeping Party Room & back office clean & organized
- Assist with daily emails, phone calls, day-to-day office tasks
- Helping out where else is needed as requested
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter, very customer-service oriented and works well in a team environment
- Thrives in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
- Computer skills an asset
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers and other parties in a professional and courteous manner
