Position Overview
IBT College is seeking a qualified and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction to students enrolled in the PSW program. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in the healthcare field and a passion for teaching and supporting adult learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person and/or online instruction in accordance with the approved PSW curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback
- Maintain accurate attendance records and academic documentation
- Support students in developing practical skills required for clinical and community care settings
- Ensure a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
- Coordinate with the administration team regarding scheduling and student progress
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or a relevant healthcare credential (e.g., RPN, RN)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care, hospital, or community care)
- Previous teaching or training experience is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and support adult learners
- Knowledge of patient care, safety procedures, and infection control practices
- Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in a private career college or similar educational setting
- Familiarity with Ontario healthcare standards and practices

Schedule
- Part-time hours based on program schedule
- Monday to Friday (with potential evening or weekend classes)
