Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on product selection, including flooring, lighting and plumbing
- Operate Quickbooks systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts processing
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Support inventory management by organizing stock, restocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks
- Handle cashiering duties with precision, including processing payments via cash, credit cards
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on flooring, plumbing and lighting materials in order to effectively assist clients with their renovation/building requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor to create an inviting shopping environment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall store performance
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising principles is advantageous
- Knowledge of interior design and related fields enhances your ability to assist customers confidently
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike
- Organizational skills are necessary for managing day to day procedures and maintaining a tidy sales area
