Job description
Rate: $24 per hour
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Employment Conditions: Shift, Day, Night
Duties will include but are not limited, to the following:
· Preparation of packaging materials.
· Keeping packaging materials well stocked in warehouse.
· Assist technicians with packaging of product.
· Using fork truck to place packaged product in warehouse or truck for shipment.
· Bring raw materials needed for process from warehouse.
· Putting up raw materials into base hoppers via tilt tables, box dumping hopper or directly dumping material into hopper.
· Cleanup of process area & warehouse before and after all activities (sweeping, floor sweeper operation, breaking down all non- reusable boxes, lids & pallets, removing & emptying garbage to compactor or waste bin) as required.
· Responsible for specific warehouse/shipping functions (helping shipper/receiver load/unload trucks).
· Wearing and being able to use radios.
· Shift turnovers are done in work area with counterpart from crew that they are relieving.
· Breaks need to be staggered and make sure that there is adequate coverage on the shop floor.
· Appropriate PPE for the task must be worn.
· Attend Participate in Operations shift safety meeting as per instructed by the crew leads.
Skills & Knowledge
· Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education
· Preference to previous experience in an industrial and or manufacturing facility.
· High level of mechanical aptitude.
· Be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
· High level of regard for Safety Health and Environment.
· Valid driver's license. (Minimum G2)
