Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The initial position is a maternity leave position where the current employee works Tues-Fri 8-5. An ideal candidate would replace most or all of these hours but there is some flexibility available for hours/days worked if needed. A minimum of two days per week is needed.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
- Support the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality care delivery
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
- Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred; experience with Tracker is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
