We are a locally owned, family-run butcher shop that has proudly served our community for over 50 years. Alongside our butcher shop, we also operate a growing raw pet food business, and we're looking for a creative, motivated individual to help us take both brands to the next level.
This is an exciting opportunity to build and grow the online presence of two established businesses. You'll be responsible for creating engaging content, managing our social media platforms, developing marketing campaigns, and helping us connect with new customers through creative and authentic storytelling.
This role is ideal for a recent marketing, communications, or digital media graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience and make a real impact. You'll have the freedom to bring your ideas to life, experiment with new content, and play a key role in expanding our social media presence and brand awareness.

Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and publish engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.
- Film and edit high-quality videos, including Reels and TikToks.
- Capture product photography, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Write compelling captions, educational posts, and marketing copy.
- Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar.
- Respond to comments and messages to build an engaged online community.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with our team on promotions, new product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Work with pet influencers and brand ambassadors.
- Track performance metrics and provide monthly reports with recommendations for growth.
- Assist with email marketing and website content when needed.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising and other digital channels to maximize reach and ROI.
- Monitor social media analytics using Google Analytics and Buffer (application) to assess campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sales, and product development to ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Proofread all content for accuracy, tone, and brand consistency before publishing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital marketing, social media algorithms, and emerging platforms to keep strategies innovative.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field is an asset, but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or other social media platforms.
- Comfortable filming and editing short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and video editing tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with a passion for social media and digital marketing.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to learn, take initiative, and contribute new ideas.
- Photography and videography skills are considered an asset.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, TikTok, or social media scheduling tools is an asset.
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are an asset, as some on-site content creation will be required.
- Experience or familiarity with social media management, digital marketing, or e-commerce is an asset.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, or other graphic design software is an asset.
- Understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads, and other digital marketing tools is considered an asset.
- Strong proofreading, editing, and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze social media and website performance data to help optimize content and marketing campaigns.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging visual content that aligns with our brand identity.
- Knowledge of current digital marketing trends, social media platforms, and best practices is preferred.

Pay: $19.00-$27.00 per hour
