About the role
Lockheed Martin Canada is growing and the production facility at 501 Palladium Drive is expanding. In addition we are upgrading our SAP ERP system as part of an organizational change and a digital transformation program.
In this context we are seeking a highly motivated and active Materials Manager to lead a small team performing the inventory operations for our manufacturing programs. In this critical role, you will ensure the seamless flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods, adhering to strict corporate procedures, military specifications (MIL-SPEC), and quality standards ISO 9001 and IA9100.
Key Responsibilities-
Supply Chain: Direct shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control operations to support complex manufacturing and lifecycle sustainment.

Compliance & Security: Ensure all materials and supply chain processes comply with the company procedures, the Canada’s Controlled Goods Program (CGP), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and ISO and AI Quality standards.

Demand Planning: Utilize MRP/ERP systems to manage material supply and inventory in order to minimize inventory while mitigating supply risks and providing material to production in a timely manner.

Trade Compliance: Partner with the trade compliance team to manage import/export documentation for sensitive articles.

Leadership: Lead a team of 4-6 direct reports by setting goals, delegating daily activities, tracking and reporting progress, conducting regular team meetings and 1 on 1 check ins, coaching and developing employees, and maintaining team cohesion.
What you bring to the role
- Experience: 5–7 years of progressive materials and supply chain management experience, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting sectors.

Security Clearance: Active Government of Canada Security Clearance (Level II - Secret) or ability to immediately obtain and maintain it.

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Controlled Goods policies, import/export controls, and MRP/ERP materials management systems.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced SAP ERP systems and strong data analysis capabilities.

Communication Skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, facilitate team meetings, and draft concise reports
Additional skills desired for the role
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Salary Range
$108,000 - $142,000
