Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our clients by accurately assessing vehicle needs, explaining repair options, and ensuring a smooth communication flow between customers and our service technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive sales approach to enhance customer satisfaction and service shop success.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, including necessary services and options.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs and vehicle requirements.
- Prepare detailed repair orders, ensuring all information is accurate for technicians.
- Coordinate with technicians to communicate repair status and estimated completion times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of payments received.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership services, promotions, and products to assist customers effectively.
- Keep the service area organized and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Prior automotive experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive sales and service processes.
- Experience working with mechanics or possessing mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding vehicle repairs.
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability in sales, including upselling services and products to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Experience handling cash or processing payments securely and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and terminology is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
