Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled and self-motivated CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This is an independent role where you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and machining precision components with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and has strong Mastercam programming experience. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with controls, and expertise in CAD/CAM software will be essential to ensure high-quality production. Duties
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as SolidWorks and Mastercam for various machining projects
- Set up CNC machines by installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to blueprints and technical specifications
- Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with precision, ensuring adherence to tolerances using calipers and other hand tools
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications to produce accurate parts
- Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal machine performance
- Utilize math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling power tools, welding equipment, hand tools, and forklift operations as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC programmer, setter, or operator in a manufacturing environment with a strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency with CNC control systems
- Solid understanding of CNC programming languages (G-code/M-code) and experience with CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks or Mastercam platforms
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for machining operations
- Knowledge of machining processes including turning, milling, welding, assembly, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers for quality checks
- Math skills for dimensioning and calculations related to machining tasks
- Experience working with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate forklift safely when required for material handling
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a safety-conscious environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
- Must have strong proficiency with Mastercam.
- Experience programming 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machining centers is an asset.
- Ability to independently set up and prove out new jobs.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
