Overview
The part‑time cleaner supports the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility by maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment. This role focuses on routine daily cleaning of lunchrooms, kitchenettes, restrooms, and common touch areas while following all safety and sanitation standards required in an industrial setting. Production areas, offices, showrooms, boardrooms, etc. would be cleaned as part of a rotating cleaning schedule and there would also be assigned cleaning duties when required.
Responsibilities
- Clean, restock and sanitize restrooms, lunchrooms, kitchenettes and high touch areas daily
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove debris from plant areas, maintain rugs regularly
- Empty garbage, recycling, and industrial waste bins according to facility procedures
- Wipe down surfaces, equipment exteriors, and high‑touch areas
- Maintain cleaning supplies and report low inventory or equipment issues
- Follow all workplace safety rules, including PPE requirements and chemical‑handling procedures
- Support special cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning, spill cleanup, or seasonal maintenance
- Communicate hazards, maintenance needs, or unusual conditions to supervisors
- Clean, dust and sanitize offices, boardrooms, and showrooms on a regular basis (rotating schedule as time permits)
- Deep clean areas as assigned
- Set up for company wide events, cleaning up upon the completion of these events
Job Qualifications
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, especially in industrial or commercial environments
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and industrial materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Schedule & Work Conditions
- Part-time hours (flexible – minimum of 3 hours per day between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)
- Some assigned tasks performed in active manufacturing areas at times with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
- PPE provided as required (safety shoe allowance, gloves, eye protection)
