Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Chef/Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely service.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards, maintaining food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Provide friendly and attentive guest service, addressing customer needs promptly and professionally.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt delivery of orders while maintaining quality standards.
- Engage with guests to promote a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, sanitation, and basic math for cash handling and transactions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a hospitality setting.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Basic kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not required.
