Job Overview
N.W.S Landscapes is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Casual Landscape Labourer to join our growing team. We specialize in residential landscaping projects throughout the Okanagan, including hardscape and softscape installations, retaining walls, artificial turf, rock and mulch installations, planting, and landscape construction.
This is a casual, flexible position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn new skills within the landscaping industry. Hours will vary based on project workload and seasonal demand.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape construction and installation projects
- Support hardscape projects including retaining walls, pathways, edging, and rock installations
- Assist with softscape projects including planting trees, shrubs, perennials, sod installation, and mulching
- Help install artificial turf and prepare base materials
- Load and unload landscaping materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate hand tools and assist with equipment operation as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and professionally
- Perform other landscaping and labour duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Self-motivated and willing to learn
- Landscaping, construction, or labour experience is considered an asset but is not required
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is considered an asset
