Bird Stairs – Dartmouth NS
Bird Stairs is looking for a motivated, experienced counter salesperson responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to clients and customers. We require an energetic, positive, customer-oriented individual, who communicates well with others and enjoys working with people.
As a successful counter sales representative, you would be responsible for handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues or problems that arise, to our customer’s satisfaction. This would include inquiries and product orders via phone as well as serving our “pick-up” customers at our Construction counter.
Within this role you will be responsible for:
· Greeting customers, taking orders, and assisting them in any way possible with their purchase
· Calling customers when orders are ready for pick-up
· Entering orders and expediting to ensure customer deadlines are met
· Processing payments
· Picking customer orders from stock in the warehouse
· Additional job duties may include stocking shelves, taking inventory, marking price tags, setting up displays, and cleaning the customer area during quiet times to ensure a neat appearance
Qualifications:
· Construction product knowledge would be an asset
· Superior listening and communication skills
· Strong interpersonal communication skills
· Sales and customer service
· Experience in ERP systems (SYSPRO) would be an asset
· Energetic, positive, customer-oriented individual and a team player
