Salary (CAD): $98,000 - $115,300 (Commensurate with experience)

Opportunities for growth within the full salary range are available in alignment with organizational policies and individual / organizational performance. The offer package provided to the successful candidate will be based on experience, qualifications and other relevant factors.

The Communications Program Manager, Products and Strategic Offerings, reports to the Director of Communications and collaborates with members of the Communications Team to support HSO’s enterprise needs. The Communications Program Manager serves as a critical partner to cross-functional production teams, including marketing, digital, translation, and graphics. The role operates within a business partner model to deliver high quality, high impact communications for a range of internal and external audiences.
This role blends strategic communications, operational excellence, partner engagement and hands on content development. It supports enterprise priorities, major organizational initiatives, and ongoing communications needs of HSO’s programs and product strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic communication planning for key business units (Products, Standards, Digital and Patient Partner Office), providing guidance, frameworks, and decision support.
- Works with assigned business units to develop communication plans that translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives for audience-specific positioning.
- Visualize complex ideas through storytelling, structured messaging, and presentation design.
- Provide communications guidance to Program Managers, standards development teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Develop and maintain processes across standards, products, marketing, and communications including timelines, expectations, workflows, and accountability structures.
- Support standards operations including committee recruitment, public review cycles, and publication milestones.
- Support product launches with integrated communication plans supporting go-to-market and product release process alignment.
- Protect team capacity by managing intake, prioritization, and workload balance for the communications team.
- Develop and polish executive-ready decks aligned with enterprise messaging and visual identity.
- Provide graphic design backup when needed to support production timelines.
- Develop visual and written content using provided key messages, ensuring clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
Must Have Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, etc.).
- Three to four years of progressive experience in strategic communication, and content development.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling communications.
- Strong experience partnering with cross functional teams and managing multi stakeholder processes.
- Strong strategic planning skills with experience developing integrated marketing plans that align with business goals.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation development skills for audience specific positioning.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience producing communication products for government officials, executives, senior health leaders or clinicians.
- Advanced (Professional or Native) Proficiency in French or Spanish (written and oral).
