L’Amour en action (AEA) est un organisme à but non lucratif situé à Montréal-Nord, qui offre un hébergement d’urgence aux personnes en situation d’itinérance. Notre mission est d’offrir un milieu accueillant, sécuritaire et humain, ou chaque personne est reçues avec respect, compassion et dignité.
Description du poste
Sous la supervision du coordonnateur et du chef d’équipe, le ou la surveillant.e de plancher travaillera en équipe afin d’assurer le bon fonctionnement du lieu et la sécurité des usagers.
Principales responsabilités
- Assurer la surveillance continue des lieux
- Procéder à l’inscription des usagers à l’admission du soir (au besoin)
- Alimenter le journal de bord pour tout événement significatif
- Réaliser les tâches d’entretien ménager en alternance avec les coéquipiers
- Servir la collation (si requis)
- Superviser les douches et tenir à jour le registre de prêt de vêtements
- Être à l’écoute des besoins des usagers
- Assister au besoin à la cuisine et à la buanderie
- Répondre aux appels entrants et assurer les suivis nécessaires (pour le poste de soir)
- Participer aux réunions d’équipe

Qualifications requises
- Fiabilité
- Bonne forme physique
- Maîtrise du français parlé et bonne capacité rédactionnelle
- Connaissances fonctionnelles de l’anglais
- Formation Omega (atout)
- Certificat RCR valide (atout)

Job description
Under the supervision of the Coordinator and Team Leader, the Floor Attendant will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and the safety of its users.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous monitoring of the premises
- Register users for evening admission (as needed)
- Document significante vents in the logbook
- Share housekeeping duties with teammates
- Serve snacks (if required)
- Supervise showers and maintain the clothing loan register
- Be attentive to the needs of users
- Assist in the kitchen and laundry as needed
- Answer incoming calls and ensure the necessary follow-ups (for the evening shift)
- Participate in team meetings
Candidate profile

Able to intervene with calmness and humanity
Equipped with strong communication skills

Qualifications
- Good physical condition
- Proficient spoken French and good writing skills
- Functional knowledge of English
- Omega training (an asset)
- Valid CPR certification (an asset)
Working conditions
- Hourly wage between $19 and $21, based on experience
- Meals provided during shifts
