Nimpkish Valley Construction Ltd. is a growing residential framing company based in the Comox Valley. We specialize in framing custom homes, production homes, renovations, and exterior carpentry throughout Central Vancouver Island.
We take pride in quality craftsmanship, maintaining organized job sites, and building a team of carpenters who enjoy producing work they’re proud of. Most of our current projects are in the Qualicum Beach and Parksville area, with future work throughout Central Vancouver Island.
Position
We’re looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter or Red Seal Carpenter to join our crew full-time.
The ideal candidate has solid residential framing experience, works well with others, and takes pride in doing quality work. We’re looking for someone dependable who wants to grow with a company that’s focused on long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Residential framing from foundation to lock-up
- Floor systems, wall framing, roof framing, and engineered beam installation
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Window and exterior door installation
- Building envelope and flashing details
- Decks, stairs, and exterior structures
- Vinyl, Hardie, and wood siding
- Material organization and site cleanliness
- Safely operating hand and power tools
- Working efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Qualifications
- 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter or Red Seal Carpenter
- Residential framing experience required
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and valid BC driver’s licence
- Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and working at heights
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
