Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Millwright/Welder to support industrial, agricultural, and commercial customers throughout the Fraser Valley.
The Millwright Welder is responsible for installing, repairing, modifying, and maintaining industrial machinery, structural components, conveyors, pumps, motors, augers, platforms, guards, and related equipment. The role includes both shop fabrication and mobile field service work.
The successful candidate must be comfortable troubleshooting mechanical problems, completing repairs with limited supervision, and working directly with customers in active production environments. Work will include welding, fabrication, rigging, equipment installation, bearing and shaft replacement, conveyor repairs, hydraulic component replacement, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial millwright, welding, and fabrication work
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine practical repair solutions
- Repair and install conveyors, augers, pumps, motors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, and related equipment
- Fabricate and modify steel components using drawings, measurements, or field conditions
- Complete SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and TIG welding processes as qualified
- Perform equipment removal, installation, alignment, and commissioning
- Use rigging equipment, forklifts, telehandlers, and lifting devices safely
- Read basic drawings, sketches, and equipment manuals
- Complete field measurements and material lists
- Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and other trades
- Maintain accurate time records and job notes
- Keep service vehicles, tools, and work areas organized
- Follow safety procedures and customer site requirements
Experience
- Previous millwright, industrial maintenance, welding, or fabrication experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Welding certification or relevant welding experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Ability to safely use welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, drills, and common millwright tools
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, climb, work at heights, and work in industrial environments
- CWB welding tickets, Millwright Red Seal, forklift, aerial lift, fall protection, and first aid certifications are considered assets
This is a hands-on position involving a combination of shop fabrication and mobile field service. Work is primarily performed at industrial and agricultural facilities throughout the Fraser Valley. Some jobs may require early starts, overtime, weekend work, shutdown work, or emergency service.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Experience:
- TIG welding: 1 year (preferred)
- Intensive millwright construction/repair work: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Certification (preferred)
- Fall protection (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Welding ticket (preferred)
