Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely processing
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, adhering to sanitation protocols
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables simultaneously without compromising quality of service
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry
- Basic math skills for cashiering and bill calculations
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory
